Creative Writing Samples
This was my first piece officially published with Messy Manuscripts. Bippity-Boppity-Boots is a short story anthology retelling fairy tales in an old Western U.S. setting. I chose to tell the story of Little Red Riding Hood in the role of a mail carrier.

"Named" is a poem submitted to Inkblot in the Winter of 2024. Written after a near-death experience related to Anemia, it explores identity, death, and survival.

This is the second anthology I have been privileged to write and edit with the Messy Manuscript Society. My piece, "The Siren's Muse," will be published in early July.

Read at the NULC of 2025, "Fall" is a prose poetry piece exploring the dissonance between a queer identity and religious expectations.

"Master of the Universe" is a short poem submitted to BYU-Idaho's Pre-professional Conference in 2024. It explores themes of creation and divinity.

That title is no empty text box. We received a challenge in my creative writing class to write a 300-word sentence with a maximum of one semicolon. I decided the best use of such a sentence would be a title page with infinite spoilers.
